Innisfree 2020 Green Holidays Jelly Balm Crayon #3 Berry Hearts

by - 12/12/2020 09:55:00 AM

I put the lipbalm tag for this lip crayon because it also have the name of Jelly Balm.
This is a limited edition of 2020 Christmas season collaborated with Steven Harrington.
I chose no.3, the lightest shade because I don't want to use bold lip color
nowdays when I don't go outside too often because of COVID-19.
There are only three colors available.

Description:

Three shades of a lipstick-lip balm hybrid that gives just
the right pop of color to add a bit of warmth to your next holiday look.

The texture of a lip balm that fits the lips moistly and smoothly.
This lip balm-type lipstick smoothly fits the lips without any flakiness,
keeping them moist for a long time.
Use Jelly Balm Crayon Holiday Edition for smooth and vibrant lip makeup!

Light and clear colour payoff with a dewy texture, jellytexture.
The jelly texture forms an even reflective layer that tints your lips with dewy,
semi-glowing colours, creating a light and vivid colour payoff.

Lipstick or tint! Smart lip crayon that can be used in two different ways.
This product has a crayon-type formula with great colour payoff,
which you can use as a lipstick by applying over your lips,
or as a tint with clear shades just like watercolours by dabbing it onto the center of your lips.
It is a multi-purpose lip crayon that allows you to create both strobe colors and tint colors.

Limited-edition Steven Harrington design.
This year, innisfree collaborates with Steven Harrington,
a L.A-based artist and designer known for his cheerful and contemporary,
psychedelic pop-aesthetics, to produce a limited edition Innisfree 2020
Green Holidays gift collection.
His signature quirky illustrations, inspired by California’s diverse culture
and distinctive scenery,
wonderfully adorn this year’s packaging, as it features vibrant and
delightful portrayals of his witty characters exchanging gifts and spreading joy!

Shades:

1. Chee-ry Up
2. Chili Bling
3. Berry Heart

I don't think the color is as sheer as the picture described.
Now, let's go to the packaging.
It have a heavy design, since Innisfree is mostly have sleek and simple packaging.

I personally don't like too many pictures in a product.
But since the design is very different than Innisfree most packaging,
I think I can stand it.
The box contains purple-ish theme.

A large size I must say.
It will stay for a long time.

Swatch:

I must say it is blue-ish pink.
A bit pale.

I have already guess that it won't be as moisturizing as a usual lipbalm.
And it turns out true.
There are many smooth and moisturizing lipbalm out there.
But the Jelly Balm Crayon is disappointing me.
The shade is indeed covering my several original lip color, dark part etc.
But it won't moisturize my lips texture.

It glides smoothly and creamy.
But feels a bit heavy.
It is a normal lip cream.

Does have a little bit scent, but not strong.
And it doesn't melt quickly, similar to Revlon Balm.
I had bought similar lip crayon from Ettusais Creamy Crayon Lip, and it melts quickly.
The case if often gets messy from the melting color.
But Ettusais is more moisturizing than this Jelly Balm Crayon, it have good effect.

MY THOUGHTS OF INNISFREE 2020 GREEN HOLIDAY JELLY BALM CRAYON #3 BERRY HEARTS:
+ Glides smoothly like a creamy lipbalm.
+ Covering darker lip color.
+ Even though no.3 is supposed to be MLBB color, the color is pigmented. The other two colors will be darker.
+ Does not emphasize dry lips.
+ Not expensive.
- Does not moisturizing from the formula.
- Limited colors.
- Even though the design is different than the simple Innisfree packaging, I don't like the drawing that much. I think the drawing will be a match in a T-shirt, but not a cosmetic. Or maybe because of the background color of the cap?
