I thought I must try Canmake other products before deciding if it's a good or bad brand. I had problem with Canmake Creamy Touch Rouge 01 Marshmallow Pink because it's too creamy and showed liplines. After Canmake opened its first store in Indonesia, at Beauty Couture Mall Kelapa Gading 3, 2nd floor, plus it discounted 20% of every Canmake product, I must go! Beauty Couture is truthfully a distributor for Etude House store in Indonesia, and a few brands for example Cottage and Skin79. It expands its business to facial treatment etc with its own tools. I don't know the detail because it's the first time I bought any item from them. This are Canmake official website in Japanese and English. Let's see more in my post.

I was a bit doubtful if I could get best price at this store because I knew how much Etude House product added its price almost 2,5x of its real Korean price. But after I asked its price, it's the same price as I bought from online seller, ex: my sister's supplier. I didn't have to wait for shipping too, so it's imaginable. Though Mall Kelapa Gading is a bit far from my home, it takes an hour to get there and I hope Canmake will quickly be sold in another nearby store.

I'm also glad that the customer service is friendly there. The CS was fun, she have not yet memorizing the exact price so she must open her price notebook frequently, even if I have asked twice for the same product. But she answered my questions with her own review. Of course she also compared Canmake to Etude House, which won by Canmake as expected. Inside my mind, I thought I could expect that she chose Canmake because it's true. Japanese products won from Korean for its natural finish.

So I bought three products for USD 44.72 but after 20% discount, it was about USD 35.60. Pretty cheap, huh? I hope it will get discounted often. Two of them were from my buying list (see a picture from my late post here). Yup, it's Candy Wrap Lip and Strong Eyes Liner! I wanted to buy Stay-on Balm Rouge but it haven't been available there, together with its famous Cream Cheek. The other one I bought is Canmake Concealer Foundation UV with SPF 25 PA++. Actually, before buying Concealer Foundation UV, I wanted the UV Silky Fit Foundation, but I changed my mind after being attracted of concealing effect.


From what I've remembered, they just sold freshly sold lip product: Candy Wrap Lip & Creamy Touch Rouge, base product: Concealer Foundation UV, UV Silky Fit Foundation, Marshmallow Finish Loose Powder (the CS said it is a favorite product) & Blessed Natural Foundation, and for eye product: Strong Eyes Liner, Eyeshadow Base, Eye Nuance, Jewelstar Eyes, Eyeliner Pencil & Nuance Liner, the last is from nail product: Jewel Glitter Nail. There are little product for first time selling because it must be checked by BPOM (A government institute to check on food and drug safety), said the CS.


1. Canmake Concealer Foundation UV SPF 25 PA++ in 02 Light Ochre
Let's go straight to my Canmake Concealer Foundation UV. Lately, rather than BB cream, in this hot weather, I like to wear pressed powder foundation. See my favorite KATE Mineral Powder Foundation in this post. Moreover, it have been a month after my office air conditioner doesn't functioning and I must face the bright sun after 12PM beside my seat. I'm sweating and itchy and can't concentrate well on work. I'm okay before lunchtime, but after 1PM-4PM, I'd rather go to another place. Using BB cream, moreover if it's Korean BB, my face will turn to a full of runny cream! Even if I have dry skin, I dislike that kind of sticky sweat.


Even though I thought to use it next year (2015) because I have many base makeup products (4 tubes BB cream, 3 pressed powders, and a loose powder), for this review purpose, I tried using it once. I must put it into box again after this. www~~ Unhygienic!


After buying it for two days, I realized I love this case too. I can use any refill to match its size because it's in the usual compact powder size. Be it mirror or blue color, I think I won't be disappointed to get both. Then let's see the inside product:


I bought 02 Light Ochre. Surprisingly, I thought there's no.01, but when I saw the official website, it's true. The lightest color is 02 Light Ochre, followed by 03 Natural Ochre. For me, the color for light ochre is similar to my Pigeon Two Way Cake Innocent White (the lightest shade) and I already get to used to the color. Different from KATE Mineral Powder Foundation, which have yellow-ish shade, I think Canmake is pure white with a little on beige side to fit in skin color. The sponge is similar too, with my Pigeon and KATE mineral powder foundation.

As you can see on the picture, there is a detail on how to use the concealer effectively. The sponge can be applied dry or wet, but I tried it dry because I need to put it back in box. It will be dirty to put a wet sponge or I must wash it to clean the remaining foundation before I put it back in the box. I chose to not throw the inner film (plastic) to keep the mirror clean as instructed. You can read all the offer from Canmake for this product here. Now, for its application, see my picture below:


I don't need to say again that it doesn't cover a few of acne marks. But it's not often anyway, so it's bearable. A little bit dry, I must use a wet sponge. I'll try that later after I find a new sponge as an experiment. Here, I used Etude House Face Conditioning Cream as base and after I'm sweating (it's true, after I'm sweating to walk from home-office for 15 mins after applying), the foundation cracked a little bit on my nose. It must be because I use a cream base in this hot weather. I might have to use Hada Labo lotion, which will be absorbed quickly and not as oily as Face Conditioning Cream. For the other part, it doesn't cracked even until 9 hours without blotting/touch up. Please note that the nose part is because I walked in hot weather and my office also doesn't have air conditioner working. So it's true to claim that it's long lasting and control sebum because I didn't feel oily on my nose even if I was already sweating. Silk feeling, checked! I did feel my face became smoother. The scent is somewhat similar to any other powder, without fragrance.


2. Canmake Strong Eyes Liner in 01 Super Black



There isn't brown color sold in the store. The only one is this black. But I tends to use black eyeliner. Oh my, I haven't finish using my Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner but I bought another pen liner! No! I did intend to buy DollyWink, not Canmake. But seeing its pointy tiny little black tip, I couldn't refrain my satisfaction of buying this. Although I just need to fill in my pricelist to be USD 25.00 and I will get bonuses (Yay!). Actually I intended to fill it with the Jewel Glitter Nail, but I didn't think I need more. I rarely use it too.


I'm satisfied with this product. It's harder to wash off compared to Heroine Make. With Heroine Make, if I have drew a wrong line, I can use wet tissue to clean it. But with Canmake, I must use makeup remover, or it will go black on the area around it. I think the black is darker than Heroine Make too, because the tip is stronger and firmer.


From bottom to uppermost: 1 stroke, 2 strokes, 3 strokes. And this were just drawn in very light strokes. You can imagine in stronger strokes, it will be darker. The staying power is the same as Heroine Make, it won't budge even after more than 9 hours. Very strong. It's easy to do tightlining too since the formula doesn't hurt my eyes, compared to Etude House Oh m'eye Line. I love it. This is my picture wearing it on right eye:



3. Canmake Candy Wrap Lip 03 Peach Shower


It is just a...lipgloss, you know? I chose peach shower, one of popular color. In the website, the popular color is marked by star. I though to buy pink, but I guessed I still attracted by peach color for natural look. For me, pink is too girly and might not suit me in some occassion. Although sometimes, I wanted to look good in pink blush and lips after reading some reviews (especially if it does a cute dolly look). And I'm envious of Eikura Nana's pink cheek (when she played a role of Shinonome Mei in Mei no Shitsuji dorama). When I applied obvious color on cheek, my office mates were all asking "why my cheeks are in red?" (sigh, I can't use obvious pink/orange color on my cheek from now on). It moisturizes my lips, better than Creamy Touch Rouge, although I'm sad the color won't be too obvious (as expected from Japanese lipgloss). This is my lips wearing Candy Wrap Lip 03 Peach Shower:


The peach shade isn't too obvious although I applied much of it. And about stickiness, it does feels sticky. What else to hope from a lipgloss? Although it does good job to moisturizing my dry lips (I didn't use lip balm the day before so my lip was very dry). It tends to clot if it's already drying, as you can see in the below picture. But after washing it with water, applying it from the start again, it will disappear. Well, I never buy any lip concealer so you can see the difference in color. But it won't be noticeable from afar. It have small glitter but can't be seen after applying. Smell? Doesn't have any smell except the liquid being inside a plastic bottle, as if you have a drinking bottle and the water is smell similar of its plastic packaging. But after a few seconds, it will disappear.
