Maybelline Color Sensational Diamond Eyeshadow #Rose Quartz Pink

by - 10/18/2017 11:40:00 AM

This quint eyeshadow palette reminds me of Kanebo KATE's eyeshadow,
such as Colorcious Diamond or Deep Shiny Eyes.
The black packaging and elegant palette design are very similar to KATE.
So without doubt, I grabbed the Rose Quartz Pink shade.

I think this eyeshadow is not a global product.
The text is written as made in China.
It has a top coat, very similar to Japanese eyeshadow
to create those bling-bling eyes when you close it.
The palette is a glittery type, with two ways of use, like Canmake Perfect Stylist Eyes.
You can pick either using the star-like shaped palette,
or the dark brown color for deeper gradation.
Description below:

Lighter look comes for A-B-E shade and D as eyeliner.
Darker look will do with A-C-D-E.
The how to use is also described in the back plastic packaging.
But I chose to trash the plastic, so this picture is the only one left.

I know the front case have something that looks like a mirror.
But it can't be used since the reflection is blurry.

There is a sponge tip brush inside, but without mirror.
I think this is already complete as a palette.

Texture is satin finish, without big glitters.
But I think the pink is very similar to KATE.
It is not pink, but pink brown color.
All colors are wearable, but don't expect a cute pink payoff.
The only pink color is color E, suitable for under eye makeup and as a topping.

Putting all colors, creates a nude brown-ish gradation. Forgive the messy eyeliner.

Putting A-B-E only. A pink-brown gradation.

Overall, the result is similar to KATE.
Surprisingly, it does not have much fallouts because the texture is cream and satin.
It doesn't have glitter so the powder have minimum fallout.
As for pink color, I do thought it won't show much.
Look at those brown-ish powder and expected it will show like that.

Staying power is so-so.
The shimmer stayed quite good,
but gradation color disappeared through mid day.
I didn't recommend this eyeshadow for long time wearing.
But it looks good even while the gradation merged.
Very sheer but buildable.
The sponge brush is also good enough to apply this eyeshadow evenly.

MY THOUGHTS FOR MAYBELLINE DIAMOND EYESHADOW #ROSE QUARTZ PINK:
+ The color is wearable for daily because it has brown hue.
+ Cheaper than Japanese eyeshadow of course.
+ There is no fallout.
+ Texture is blendable and clean.
+ Doesn't have dry finishing.
+ The brush is included and in good quality.
+ Travel friendly and small palette.
+ The powder stays quite well without primer on dry skin.
+ The brown shade C is quite pigmented.
+ Top off color is very good at creating plump eyes.
- No mirror.
- Gradation can't stay for long.
- Sheer but still buildable.
- If you're looking about pink-based eyeshadow, this is not like that. Only the topping is pink.
