I'm back at reviewing a drama.
I only watched Bride of the Water God and Kahogo no Kahoko
for this 2017 summer season.
I tried to watch Hello Harinezumi before,
but its 1st episode was so-so.
I think of dropping the series.
Kahogo no Kahoko, or Overprotected Kahoko, is a everyday-life drama.
You can find many similarities about her family with yours,
accross the nation.
And this drama is seen by her father's view of point.
That makes "Kahogo no Kahoko" a unique story.
Nemoto Kahoko is a overprotected girl.
Her father, Nemoto Masataka, and mother, Nemoto Izumi,
are always dotting on her.
They won't let Kahoko works for herself.
So, she couldn't get a job even though she's already 22 years old.
Her family seems fine at first.
They gathered along well at every event, such as Kahoko's birthday.
But suddenly, all of them got troubles.
Since Kahoko also helps Mugino a lot,
Mugino tries to open up to her.
By meeting a man who said he will be the next Picasso,
Mugino Hajime, Kahoko finally understood the real life.
She begins to search a way for her to be helpful to others
and going to the real society.
Mugino doesn't seem to like her behavior and family at first.
But he can't leave Kahoko alone.
Depsite his tsundere and logic speaking,
Mugino is lonely.
What's important in the story is about how someone being mature.
It needs process.
Kahoko's father wants her to be a mature lady.
Despite his dotting, Masataka always care for her.
While Izumi, her mother, doesn't seem to understand what Kahoko wants,
she's just wishing to be a great mother in the end.
Ito, Kahoko's cousin.
When Ito Namiki, Kahoko's cousin, had a problem,
Kahoko got a suggestion from Mugino.
It wasn't a pretty talk.
Mugino just told Kahoko to ask her mother.
But in the end,
he still helped Kahoko.
This is a hillarious moment.
Kahoko's wanting to help Ito is futile.
She cried at Mugino's chest,
while he told Kahoko to cry at home instead.
Some people were watching,
so Mugino smiled at them.
Mugino doesn't care about her at all by now.
But he doesn't have a choice than to bring her home
by carrying Kahoko on his back.
Being a man without family,
makes Kahoko's mother afraid of the relationships between Kahoko and Mugino.
When Kahoko already confessed to Mugino and got rejected
because Mugino dislike her parents,
Izumi was happy for it.
In the end, Mugino still needs Kahoko as a friend
and someone who judges his art.
Kahoko seems fine by it, though she holds her feelings deep inside.
Episode 5 consists of family problems.
They had disasters, all at once.
But the grandma told Izumi to choose
between love or trust.
Don't forget the father, Masataka.
He ran away from home.
But he knew his love for Kahoko
will bring him to her back again.
Please right click-open in new tab for better resolution.
And episode 5 finally ends in a confession from Mugino.
Not a normal confession,
he straightly goes forward to wish for the parents approval.
He is really a great man indeed.
He might not a have a full-time job,
but he has strenght and honesty.
But, what happened in ep 7?
After Mugino's confession in ep 6,
Kahoko had a breakup with him.
She told him, it's all because Mugino doesn't have a family.
I don't know what happen because I only watch until ep5 by now.
But watching the trailer on Youtube,
I understand some part.
Well, they broke up in ep7.
But please wait for ep8!!!
The trailer for ep8 have Kahoko says
"I want to make all my family happy with Hajime-kun.
So, please. Let me get married to Mugino Hajime-kun!"
And Mugino also says "Please let us".
Let me look forward to the end of their relationships.
From the frog Kahoko to a lady.
She changed because of a man who gave her good influences.
Mugino is an ill-mouthed man.
But he always says the truth of real life and hardships.
It is good to watch this dorama.
And the dialogues in Kahoko's family,
I found many similarities with mine.
The problem she had,
also somewhat similar.
This dorama has many dialogues
that brings us memories to cherish our family.
Please watch it,
even if you don't like Japanese drama.
Kahogo no Kahoko is definitely a good drama
that gives me chills by reading their everyday&real life-like dialogues.
I don't know most of the actors.
Despite their biography on Asianwiki,
I have never watched them before this dorama.
But all actors did great at portraying real life facial expression,
moreover to gather as a family.
They have concern to each other and it seems real.
Kahoko's grandma & grandpa,
both from her mother & father are great actors!!
Love them,
reminds me of my own grandparents.
I don't have grandparents anymore by now,
it's so sad.
But their actions and dialogues are similar to my late grandparents.
Super love this dorama!
