Etude House Wonder Fun Park Candy Highlighter
This is another Wonder Fun Park collection from Etude House spring 2017, the Candy Highlighter.
It is a pretty concept highlighter with rainbow pressed glittery powder inside.
I'm not a fan of highlight and shading makeup.
But sometimes, I wanted to try just because it is cute.
The Candy Highlighter is a pressed highlight powder that comes with a very large round mirror inside.
But it doesn't have a brush. So prepare one.
Etude House also sells the rainbow-colored highlighter brush together with the Wonder Fun Park theme.
But I used my Canmake Cheek Brush.
There is also a Candy Blusher. But I won't buy similar product.
Packaging is full of green-pink-purple pastel color.
It is claimed on the website that this highlighter makes the face look bright as the candy sweet sugar pearl that naturally blends.

How to use:
Take an adequate amount with the brush and lightly touch the areas you
want to brighten such as nose bridge, skin under the eyes, cheekbones,
and forehead in a sweeping motion.
I don't know why there is horizontal or vertical design... Maybe depends of the factory work? The powder is too tight, it is hard to pick on brush at the first time. But after that, it comes out easily, although doesn't create significant difference.
Right : After blending all powders
I found it is hard to pick the product because the powder is too tight being pressed.
And there is not much glitter to be called a highlight product.
I must swap around more than 5 times until it brightens my face.
But it is very hard to pick the right amount and the glittery powders goes a mess to the other side of my face.
It creates a glittery face overall, not only at T&C-zone because of fallout glitters.
I think it is supposed to be called a glittery pressed-powder like Etude House's Secret Beam Powder Pact.
As you can see, I swiped the Candy Highlighter around my C-zone and nose bridge. It is glittery, but not too visible. Just brightening my face.
The glittery finish is very natural, almost doesn't look like I'm wearing a highlighter.
It is can be swiped easily and smoothly on face.
But the glitter can fall to another face area.
It doesn't have any scent, which is good.
And doesn't give me breakout like the Secret Beam Powder Pact.
Overall, it doesn't have any interesting quality except for the cute packaging and large mirror.
This Candy Highlighter is not a must have item, but it can be used to brighten face color, not as highlighter.
Just use it as a normal powder is also okay. But it doesn't have coverage so use it after foundation.
You wouldn't notice I was wearing the highlighter. It is not visible!
You wouldn't notice I was wearing the highlighter. It is not visible!
MY THOUGHTS ON ETUDE HOUSE WONDER FUN PARK CANDY HIGHLIGHTER:
+ A smoothly fine milled highlighter that won't be noticeable from far.
+ Cute design and large mirror inside.
+ Brighten face area where it is being swatched.
+ Doesn't give me breakout. Because I had problem with Etude House powder a long time ago.
+ Doesn't enlarge pores.
+ Not expensive and easily found online.
+ Doesn't have scent and nose-friendly.
- Doesn't include a brush for touchups. But mine stays well on dry skin.
- It is brightening, but not in term of highlighting. The function is different than its claims.
- Glitters can fall to the other area on face, especially if being swapped too much.
- Not a must have item for makeup steps.
