Etude House Precious Mineral Moist Any Cushion #N02 Light Beige with SPF50+ / PA+++

by - 2/12/2016 02:31:00 PM

I finally tried the famous BB cushion from Etude House. Etude House is the first Korean brand that got me involved in cosmetics. But to be truth, I don't like their BB creams and most of lipstick ranges. My favorite product from them is the Fresh Cherry Tint. Anyway, I bought the refill only because I have too many cushions right now. I couldn't find space to place more cushion case and thought I could use Laneige Pore Control's case. The one I bought is the dewy finish, Moist Any Cushion in shade N02 Light Beige.

Product Description (based on English website):

What it is
A cushion soaked in foundation, it can be bb or cc cream too, housed in a chunky compact with second lid/compartment for the puff and also to keep the foundation from drying.
Smooth texture like a moisturizing cream to keep face hydrated all the time even in winter.
6-in-1 almighty cream foundation cushion: Moisturizing + Whitening + Anti-wrinkle + UV protecting (SPF 50+ / PA+++) + Tone correcting + Glossy effect

What it does
- Moisturizing: Made of baobab water (26.7%) for intensive hydrating skin. It also contains Hyaluronic acid 4 times more than other cushions to last hydrating longer.
- Creamy-Glossy Skin: With 'Glow-Lock Complex™', it formulates transparent layer on skin to enhance glossy function and prevent losing moisture, which is its secret receipe to keep skin hydrated even in winter.
- Sleek Skin: Creamy texture provides sleek skin condition.

How to apply
After skin care, apply it onto puff and smoothly apply to the face along the texture of skin.
Lightly dab the puff over uneven area around forehead or cheekbone.

More to keep in mind
The coverage is complete and is free of preservatives, talc, oil, waxes, and other chemicals that can irritate skin and cause breakouts.

Caution
1. Use only as directed.
2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight.
3. Cease use if problems arise.

I bought only the refill without its case. The refill's packaging is in cream color. There are only the cushion refill with its new puff. I think Etude's puff is nearly soft enough for my taste and unlike Missha's but can't be compared with Laneige.

And then, using Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control's case. I can't close the lid separator between the cushion and its puff, but I can close the entire case. So I think it's alright even though it doesn't fit enough.

The scent is very strong. I could still smell it on half of my working day and sometimes made me sneezing. I know this cushion has a sweet powdery scent, but I can't bear smelling an all day fragrance. Meanwhile, its finishing looks similar with the famous BB cream Bright Fit, with new scent.

Not much difference in term of covering. Still see redness around my nose and dark circles. The finish is dewy but a bit dry. Pores around cheek can be seen because of dryness.

Failed curling my hair to create fluffy Japanese style.

It can't cover enough for my acne marks, which is weird. So for coverage, I guess it's lower than most BB cushions. Also, because it has similar finishing with Bright Fit, I think the tone looks greyish for warm-skintone. Though as expected, the lightest shade is still darker than my overall skin color, which is good. I think BEYOND Alice in Glow Cushion and Innisfree Ampoule Intense Cushion are more dewy than this one.

Earring from Osewaya (again, I promote that store).

My thoughts for Etude House Precious Mineral Moist Any Cushion #N02:
+ Create an even skintone with dewy finish.
+ Not as sticky as the old Bright Fit formula.
+ Oil control is decent.
+ Unlike another brand, it's cheaper.
+ Not too white compared to my skin.
+ Minimum melting cream. I can see some dots on my chin, but it's fine around nose.
- Even though it's dewy, it does feels dry.
- The scent is too strong for my nose. I sneezed a lot.
- Might create visible pores.
- Greyish finish.

Recreate Kiritani Mirei makeup (with dewy skin). I like her natural makeup in "Sumika Sumire" dorama & "Koisuru Vampire" movie (there are Choi Jin-hyuk and Ekin Cheng in this movie) and Fukada Kyoko in "Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai" dorama right now. Told you, my style preference can change. After IU in "Producer" makeup, I'm into Mirei-chan's makeup now and a little bit of Suzy.
