Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer #Light Bronzer

by - 6/15/2018 09:27:00 AM

Murumuru Butter Bronzer is a bronzer with mix texture of
butter cream and powder.
It creates a soft textured powder, almost look like a cream!
And it have strong coconut scent.
I mean, very strong to the outside of packaging.

Why do I need a bronzer?
I thought of it a lot ever since I had known a cosmetic.
To achieve structured look, I only need a shading / countouring item.
When I saw Meghan Markle's wedding,
for the first time I wanted a bronzer.
She might use Honest Beauty cream blush,
but her skintone made it similar to a bronzer.
But I don't know what caught me about a bronzer.

So far as I've known,
bronzer is used to achieve sun-kissed look.
But correct me, because I don't know too far about bronzer.
Since I just need a daily makeup to go for work.
I need it because I think a foundation is too flat.
With a bronzer, my foundation color will look more natural.

Physicians Formula itself is a brand from America.
It is well known for cruelty-free product and its face powder / bronzer.
A drugstore brand that's a bit pricey, almost on par with L'oreal.

I chose Murumuru Butter Bronzer because I was searching
for a non-matte bronzer with not-so glittery powder.
Found it was the best price and product for me.
Moreover, it is sold in many online shops.
Murumuru is well-known for the light shade, which will suit fair skin,
without looking too yellow / muddy.
Despite Physicians Formula have more than 5 kinds of bronzer type,
Murumuru is the one I picked for the cute name and a simple how to do.

  • May Contain: Iron Oxides, Red 7 Lake, Titanium Dioxide

  • May be worn alone or over makeup.
  • Using sponge applicator, glide over face and neck for a natural-looking tan glow.
  • To accentuate and contour, apply more over cheekbones.
  • Mirror & applicator included.

  • I can apply the bronzer with this sponge.
But I need more blending time.
    It's such a waste.

As it was advertise with Brazilian theme, the case is made
    with tropical design too.
It contains yellow and green color so much,
even the inside packaging and the sponge too!
The smell is very strong, to the term of annoying to me.
But since it is coconut, I forgive it.
    I love coconut & vanilla scent (ex:Schwarzkopf).

Inside, there is a large mirror.
I like a packaging with large mirror so I don't mind it's bulky.
And under the bronzer itself is where Physicians Formula
    put the sponge brush.
I don't think the sponge will pick a good amount of product.
It is hard to blend, although I can apply the bronzer decently.
The sponge is only good for more pigmented application.

    Swatch on hand:

    Swatch on cheek:

The buttery powder itself is easy to pick without fallout.
It does have sheen but without glitter.
I wouldn't want my bronzer to feel the same as
my countouring powder, which is matte.
Especially love the texture because it glides easily on skin
    without showing a powdery finish.
It blends well to skin, using my Canmake Soft Cheek Brush.

The picture on the left was using the sponge available in the packaging.
It creates more pigmented color and the middle cheekbone can't blend well.
But I like the natural finishing so I'll keep using brush.

Light Bronzer is actually the lightest shade,
despite Bronzer is coming on top on its web.
Whenever I compared the color online,
Light Bronzer is still lighter than Bronzer.
On my almost fair skin, this Light Bronzer gives me healthy
shadow without being too red / yellow.
It is a nudy beige color,
without much shimmer so it's very natural.
I think this is definitely the right bronzer for fair skin as it is mentioned!

All pictures are only using the bronzer without blush.

MY THOUGHTS OF PHYSICIANS FORMULA MURUMURU BUTTER BRONZER #LIGHT BRONZER:
+ Gives natural finish for fair skin, without over yellow / dark / red.
+ The sheen comes from shimmer, not glitter so it doesn't look over-showy.
+ Not enlarging pores while applying it on cheeks.
+ Comes with bulky packaging, complete with mirror and sponge.
+ Very strong coconut scent but I like it.
+ The texture is easy to glide on skin and blendable.
+ When I'm in the need of natural blush, this helps me achieve it. Just swipe around cheekbone.
    - Quite pricey for drugstore brand.
    - Sponge is hard to blend the powder, not really a help.
    - Scent is too strong and might become dizzy by smelling it for a long time.
